
Capcom reveal more details of Resident Evil 5 Alternative Edition, seems there will be a whole lot more add on than just extra chapter and motion control.
Ever since the announcement during Tokyo Game Show 2009, featuring the new PS3 motion controller and additional chapter of The Lost in Nightmares flash back Chis and Jill pursuing Wesker at the Spencer's Estate.
Capcom revealing the updated version of Mercenaries mode, called Mercenaries Reunion. It serves with the same rules as the original version, but more playable characters.
Two new costumes are also revealed - "Folklore" costume for Sheva, and "Warrior" costume for Chris; hey where is that Office Lady costume for Sheva?
The single player (or co-op) extra chapter - The Lost in Nightmares, it will last about an hour of game time. You'll encounter a new enemies roaming in Spencer's mansion. Capcom also mentioned that another new unnamed chapter will be added as well, which is yet to give any details.
Capcom will release the disc version of Resident Evil 5 Alternative Edition for both consoles on
March 12 at $49.99. It includes all the bonus content, Versus Mode and the main Resident Evil 5 game, and the original save data is reusable.
If you have already owned the original game and not fancy an extra disc, the separated DLC packs will come earlier than the disc version. The extra chapter "Lost in Nightmares" and a custom pack will be available for download on
February 17 for Xbox 360 and
February 18 for PS3.
While the second, unnamed DLC chapter will be released
March 3 (Xbox 360) and
March 4(PS3) alongside a second costume pack.
Capcom did not mention any details regarding the PS3 motion control to the game, hope to have more info about it coming soon.
