Holy Cow!! After all these years of waiting, atlast Sony Malaysia Officially launch PS3 nationally. Though is kinda LATE compare from other regions, but still a good news. Malaysian have a DIFFERENT THINKING when comes to BUYING ORIGINAL games (and other products as well), this causes a great demand of piracy.
XBOX 360 never officially launched in Malaysia; Sony delays the release of PS3, and even for their current products like PSP or PS2, Sony Malaysia doesnt really concern about bringing in the full catalogue of games where you can hear and read from their official launch in overseas markets. And even what you can find in the local SOny showrooms, it is very expensive in comparison after including tax and so on.
Fortunately there are some shops bringing in games through their own channel, with a reasonable prices. Like XBOX 360 which never be in Malaysia officially, to satisfy the thirst of those local gamers who want to hook onto XB live to enjoy all the cool online features; people formed up a local XBOX LIVE community and open a channel to bring in the full range of XB360 products, to let the local TRUE gamers to enjoy the stuffs.
Well, since PS3 will be an official Sony product in Malaysia; atleast people can enjoy an official warranty and other goodies.
